This century farm belonged to Mary Lou's best friend Alma Lee Verkamp, and the two of them took walks over the 900 acres for the several decades of their long friendship. Many paintings have come from those walks and this is a favorite. The Dry Fork river runs through the farm, and here is depicted a point where a spring fed creek meets the bigger river. Reflections of blue trees, snow and rocks color the water and its reflections draw the viewer into the mood of the woods and water.
