This is an early MLC work, painted during a heavily botanical period of her work (1980's). This evokes a Japanese style in its soft smudges and precise lines interposed with the fruit. The colors are subtle but extremely pleasing as the orange is muted with pinks, grays and browns. The style is modern and the absence of detail is captivating.
