Giclee (zee-klay)

French for ink-spray, Giclee is an advanced method of scanning and printing artwork. It uses a new process of digitaly recording artwork with top of the line scanners and ink-jet printers.  The original scans are stored in a computer hard drive and are fine tuned to match the original painting in every color, line, and nuance.  The image is then printed with an Epson printer, and pigmented inks that are layered and textured to resemble the original paint.  These inks are continually being upgraded to last for centuries. The Giclee method is used to make every print of Mary Lou's work. Our prints are reproduced on textured fine-art watercolor paper, 100% cotton rag, and when framed under glass or Mylar, these prints are tested to last over one hundred years.

Below is an example of the high resolution and quality that is produced with this method of printing.

Our print master Jeff Berg has made our transition into the printed medium a rare delight and very positive experience.  He can beautifuly duplicate any of Mary Lou's artwork that has been archived.  This process is ever expanding and improving as more and more original artworks become digital prints. Prints are nearly identical to the originals in every aspect including size, and may be ordered unframed or framed in metal, double matted frames. Each Giclee is printed on fine watercolor paper, and personally numbered and signed by Mary Lou herself.

Prices will vary according to the size, complexity, and overall significance of the piece. To view more of these beautiful giclee prints, visit the Paintings section of the website. Orders may be placed any time by Contacting us. Just send us an email with your request and we will take it from there.
